There are a number of reasons to be cautiously optimistic about the Maine real estate market in 2024. Overall, market conditions have been quite volatile during the past several months, with mortgage rate fluctuations and a seasonal and cyclical decline in active listing inventory. Historically, late fall and early winter have also been met with a commensurate decrease in homebuyer activity.
