Before moving to Mount Desert Island 30 years ago with her family, Carroll was a real estate agent in Houston, Texas. She was licensed in Maine in 1997 specializing in Mount Desert Island real estate. In 2013, became a part of the Downeast Coastal Property Team at Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty.
Carroll has an extensive background in marketing and design, and brings that experience to both her buyer and seller clients in real estate. She also worked for many years in the non-profit world as a fundraiser and public relations professional. Knowledge of her market area, attention to detail, communication with and exceptional service to her clients are Carroll's hallmarks.
Carroll holds the professional real estate designations of ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute). She is past President of The Acadia Council of REALTORS® and current secretary, a member of the Maine Association of REALTORS®, former board member of the Maine Association of REALTORS® and the Mid Coast Board of REALTORS®, former vestry member of St. Mary and St. Jude Episcopal Church in Northeast Harbor, a trustee of the Mount Desert Island Historical Society and the Westside Food Pantry. She currently serves on the Legislative Committee of the Maine Association of REALTORS® and is a trustee of MARPAC. Carroll was named the Acadia Council's REALTOR® of the Year in 2007 and 2012. She was also awarded the REALTOR® of the Year for the State of Maine in 2012.
She has three grown children and ten grandchildren and lives in Somesville with her husband, Tom. Carroll is a passionate gardener, cook and traveler, when time permits.
