Kathleen Shattuck has enjoyed the extraordinary resources of Lincoln County for over 40 years. She has relished her family life here and has learned first-hand about the quality of life in a community that cares about its children and its elders, the arts, the environment and the upholding of old fashioned values. She has served on the Boards of the Damariscotta River Association, Pemaquid Watershed Association, Round Top Center for the Arts and the Midcoast Children's Theatre.
Prior to beginning her successful real estate career in 2001, Kathleen had earned a degree in public relations from the Newhouse School of Journalism at Syracuse University and a graduate degree in administration from Northeastern University. After a decade of counseling special needs children, she became a prominent businesswoman, creating a clothing manufacturing company in Nobleboro, Common Sense Designs, which employed over sixty people in midcoast Maine as well as in retail stores throughout the country.
Her efforts and energy have been unsurpassed during her real estate career, earning her Top Selling Broker awards and Customer Service awards time and time again. Always willing to go the extra mile, she will not leave a stone unturned in her dedication to finding the right property or achieving a successful sale of a property for her clients. She is eager to share all that she has learned and loved about the coast of Maine.
She and her husband, John, live on the River Road in Newcastle where they raised three children, Michaela, Collin and Morgan, and various Maine Coon and Siberian Forest cats, shepherd and collie dogs, and Haflinger horses. Her favorite pastime is enjoying our native flora and fauna while rowing her wooden skiff in the Damariscotta River and around her beloved island in Webber Pond.
