TD Beach to Beacon 10K
August 6, 2022
Cape Elizabeth, Maine
“Runners of all abilities, from throughout New England and across the nation, will join many of the top runners in the world at the starting line in Cape Elizabeth for the running of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K. The course winds along tree-lined roads and past dramatic ocean vistas before ending 6.2 miles later in Fort Williams next to Portland Head Light, the nation’s first commissioned lighthouse and also the most photographed lighthouse in America.”

Circus Smirkus

“Come celebrate the powerful little fruit that put our corner of Downeast Maine on the map. Centre Street Congregational Church, UCC, rolls out the blue carpet each August with crafts, food, entertainment, contests, and all things blueberry. There’s no admission charge. Located on the Downeast part of Maine’s beautiful, rugged coast, two hours from Bangor, about an hour and a half from Bar Harbor, and a little more than an hour from St. Stephen, New Brunswick. From whale-watching to lighthouses, from hiking and kayaking to eagles and lobster rolls, our little corner of Maine has a lot to offer!”

Great Falls Balloon Festival
August 19 – August 21, 2022
Lewiston, Maine
“The mission of the Great Falls Balloon Festival is to provide fundraising opportunities for local non-profit organizations, while celebrating our community and promoting the Lewiston/Auburn area as a visitor destination. When the balloons aren’t overhead, there is still plenty to do: dozens of food booths offer everything from lime rickeys to taco salad, pancake breakfast follows the morning launches, craft and trade booths invite browsing, a children’s area with games, a bounce house, and face painting and live entertainment on two stages. Carnival rides, a parade, and various demonstrations and contests round out the weekend’s events.”
