Record Charitable Giving in 2021 through “Legacy’s Legacy: Giving Back to Maine”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Portland, Maine (March 2022) – Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Maine’s leading luxury property company, with offices in Portland, Kennebunk, Brunswick, Damariscotta, Camden, and Northeast Harbor, announced the results of its charitable giving program, “Legacy’s Legacy: Giving Back to Maine” for 2021.
Each year, participating agents contribute a portion of their commission to the program, and 2021 was another record year at Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, where the generous agents have committed to donating more than $30,000 to over 50 deserving nationwide, statewide, and local charitable organizations.
“We are so proud that our agent-led charitable initiative, ‘Legacy’s Legacy: Giving Back to Maine,’ has expanded its reach to more incredible organizations throughout Maine,” states Chris Lynch, President. “During the course of a year, we touch so many cities and towns with our special way of doing business and are delighted for the opportunity to give back.”
“While our efforts have historically been targeted at large statewide organizations, such as the Good Shepherd Food Bank and Maine Medical Center, we have also taken the opportunity to reach many of the smaller local markets,” adds Lynch. “We have on occasion, including this week, expanded our mission to include targeting funds to other parts of the country and the world by making a pledge to the Red Cross for direct aid to those most affected by the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine.”
