My early memories of the Hope House include clamming and rowing in the cove. Playing for hours on the flat top rock.  Fires on the beach.  and we  stayed in the barn apartment.  My grand parents would be in the big house, and I loved running over there in my pajamas for breakfast.  Grampa had a large garden down past the last apple tree.  As an adult my memories are more directed to the big house with many family birthdays celebrated on the porch!  A great cocktail spot!  Our tradition was to have a fire on the lawn and serve raw oysters and champagne before going in for the Thanksgiving meal.  We also get an amazing “private” show of the St. George Days Fireworks every July.  They shoot them off from across the cove.
