Real Estate Agent

Kathy Leeman is consistently a top-producing agent in the Damariscotta region. She brings to the real estate field her detailed knowledge of the Maine coast, extensive coastal-area contacts, and 35 years of experience in home design and construction including coursework at the Radcliffe Landscape Design Program. She enjoys helping her clientele envision future design possibilities and 'finding the right fit' between homeowner, community, home, and land.

A graduate of Brown University, Kathy grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts, where she became an avid small boat sailor, competing on a national level in the Etchells 22 and winning a World Championship in the Lightning Class. Whether she is racing sailboats or obtaining her USCG 50 Ton Captain's License, the ocean has been an important ingredient throughout Kathy's lifetime.

She has now lived in Round Pond for over 25 years. Kathy and her late husband, 'Captain Wally', a lifelong mariner and area resident, established and operated a successful saltwater charter company on the Pemaquid Peninsula, enhancing her perspective on the entire coastal region from both sea and land.

Kathy is committed to land conservation for recreation and wildlife, and is a member of the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust. She is also a Golden Retriever breeder, and frequently can be found AKC hunt test training her dogs in the field, or simply taking them for walks in the woods.

Lately, Kathy's longstanding personal involvement with art and craft has included an initiative to showcase rotating public exhibits of the work of Maine Artists in the downtown Damariscotta office of Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty.

Never lacking passions to pursue with her local network, she often heads for The Cupboard Café in New Harbor to meet many friends, discuss ideas, discover a terrific real estate opportunity, and have fun!
