Jessica Perkins Portland 207.749.5522
Real Estate Agent Jessica Perkins specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

Jessica loves living in Maine! She cannot imagine a better job than helping people to buy and sell homes in this beautiful state. Jessica grew up in Mobile, Alabama in a household of brokers where dinnertime conversations were about property values, “deals” and the true art of taking care of clients. Jessica has lived in Georgia, Wyoming, Kansas and Missouri and moved with her husband to the Greater Portland Area from Boulder Colorado in 2000. Jessica quickly became active in the community as a mother of three, real estate broker and yoga instructor. Currently Jessica lives with her family in the Shore Acres neighborhood of Cape Elizabeth. Work ethic, integrity and honesty are traits that many people attribute to Jessica.

Jessica worked for several years in Kansas City and came to found and run her own advertising agency, JPM in Boulder Colorado. This experience not only honed her marketing skills, but also her keen visual sensibilities. In addition, Jessica channeled her natural creativity into staging homes for several years, helping to get properties ‘show ready.’ Today she brings that experience to all her listings. Jessica always adds a special touch to properties, and knows how to bring out their best qualities.

Jessica studied business and art history at Tulane University in New Orleans and holds a B.A. in Art History. Jessica’s undergraduate studies exposed her to a love of architecture, which she has translated into the business of selling homes. Jessica is a member of the Greater Portland Board of Realtors®, The National Association of Realtors® and Maine Association of Realtors®.

John Collins Brunswick 207.607.2442
Real Estate Agent John Collins specializes in Brunswick Maine Real Estate

I am a resident of Harpswell and an ardent supporter of all Maine Real Estate has to offer. My wife and I have immersed ourselves in the Maine lifestyle and have never regretted the decision to make this our permanent home. We take full advantage of the rugged Maine coast, sailing a classic mahogany sloop out of the Orr’s-Bailey Yacht Club. As members of the Midcoast Triathlon Club in Brunswick, we also get in our share of swimming, cycling and running. My education includes a BBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA with a concentration in Financial Services from Boston University. I have owned a successful shipping business in Massachusetts for nearly 15 years. Being a business owner has taught me that having a successful long term relationship with a client is more valuable than any single deal. I am committed to bringing the highest level of professionalism to the industry. I look forward to working with you to find your perfect Maine property.

Thomas Field Damariscotta 207.215.6455

I am a second generation real estate broker whose experience started by answering the phones in my father’s real estate agency while I was in high school. In college I worked for a real estate developer in Portland restoring the corner of Cumberland and High Streets. I started out on the construction side of the business but after earning the nickname “woodbutcher” it was decided that my talents would be better put to use working in the office as the purchasing agent and property manager. It didn't hurt that I was the only one in the company who had any experience with computers so that I could enter every single company receipt into whatever passed for accounting software in 1985.

After graduation from the University of Southern Maine I spent the next 15 years in public service at a non-profit legal services organization in Augusta and left after being the Deputy Director for 2 years. I spent so much time commuting and traveling the state that I didn’t get to enjoy living in a small town the way I had intended. I have been active in community affairs at the local and state level having served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Town of Damariscotta’s Charter Commission, the Maine Advisory Panel for the Education of Children with Disabilities, and was appointed by the governor's office to the Department of Health and Human Services Reorganization Committee. I am a past President of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors and have served on the Board of Directors of the Maine Association of Realtors.

I love being on the water either in a kayak, a sailboat or a motorboat on Damariscotta Lake and exploring the area around the Damariscotta River. I currently live in South Bristol with my wife and can be seen being pulled through the neighborhood by my two dogs. I have a grown daughter in Boston and a son in the United States Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor.

Liam McCoy Portland 207.712.6860

My passion for homes started when I was 8, helping my father transform a summer camp into our year round home. Having owned and managed several income and residential properties since age 23, I have first-hand knowledge of the gratification of being a homeowner, especially for first time home buyers. I understand that purchasing a home is the greatest investment most people will ever make and it just has to feel right. I assist buyers and sellers, and enjoy helping out-of-town buyers because I am able to introduce my clients directly to the magic of living in Maine.

I grew up on Thompson Lake in the town of Otisfield, nestled between the Oxford Hills and Lakes Region. I now call home my wife’s hometown of Cape Elizabeth, along with our three beautiful children, where I serve on the board of directors for CEEF and am also the Cape Elizabeth T-ball director. We enjoy spending time at the beach, the playground and on my brother in-law’s lobster boat “Lucky Catch”. My daughter enjoys reading, gymnastics class, and playing guitar, while her twin brothers are fast becoming future basketball and baseball stars.

Having grown up in a small Maine community I have been naturally instilled with honesty, loyalty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. I look forward to earning your trust and business, and making your real estate experience seamless and enjoyable! I am a Real Estate Broker, a member of the Greater Portland Board of REALTORS® and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.

Mary Jo Cross Portland 207-770-2210

I grew up in Cape Elizabeth Maine, graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Speech Pathology and moved to Boston upon graduation to explore other opportunities. I joined R.M. Bradley in the commercial division, became licensed and worked as a site selector for a company specializing in finding sites for franchises around New England. I then joined the Stride Rite Corporation real estate division and choreographed their move to a new corporate headquarters in Cambridge. It seemed appropriate to move into residential sales in Cambridge which I did for the next 8 years.
Maine beckoned in 1994 and I joined Coldwell Banker as Relocation Director and built a successful department working with many corporate clients to assist their employees arriving or departing the area. I have an appreciation for both urban living and the slower pace of living in southern Maine.

I have been a board member of Casco Bay Sunrise Rotary since 1995 participating in many local and international projects. I was a corporator for the Sweetser School involved in fundraising to support their excellent programs for a number of years.

Interests include travel, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, golf, theater, Maine Real Estate and adding to my antique globe collection!

George began his real estate career in 1981. For more than 20 years, he managed 16+ brokers in Camden location office while continuing to be a top producer throughout most of that time, enjoying the company and work ethic from his brokers who remained with him for so long. “It was important that the chemistry in the office worked. George was a literature major in college, worked as a marine biologist and ornithologist, and then earned his masters at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. He worked as a professional forester in Maine and New Hampshire for four years before entering into real estate practice, and he's never looked back. “I’ve found this job to be a wonderful blend of psychology, finances, organization, and knowledge – it’s really not work for me, just a fluid puzzle of changing goals, all directed by the needs and wants of my clients.” He reflects “I think I’m actually becoming part of the old guard in real estate after all these years,” he says, “moderately wise, sufficiently competent, and of an honest and fair nature.” He raised his family in Camden, plays golf and tennis, and is delighted his grown two children have elected to return to Maine and live locally in the Camden area.

Lois Lengyel Portland 207.233.2820

Originally from Ohio and a graduate of Miami University and Case Western Reserve, I first came to Maine as a college student working a summer job at a lobster pound. Twenty years later after moving to Falmouth, my husband and I quickly learned the joys of our home overflowing with summer guests and children who never tire of blueberry picking, hiking the trails of the White Mountains, and exploring our many gorgeous beaches.

Barbara Russo Portland 917.370.3717
Real Estate Agent Barbara Russo specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, so moving to Maine in 1991 (with stops in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Illinois) was an amazing and wonderful change. When I was much younger, walking the neighborhoods close to my home, I always wondered at the cookie-cutter sameness of most of the homes. Where were the two story houses? Where was the interesting architecture? I remembered fondly my grandparents’ home in Illinois, an old farmhouse with two floors, wonderful round windows and beautiful woodwork. I wanted that house or something very much like that. My dream finally came true when in 1999, my husband and I bought a lovely New Englander in Camden Village. Before moving to Camden, we spent a few years in Waterville where we both worked at Colby College. Yearning to be near the coast, we moved here when our two daughters went away to school.

I have always loved to look at houses, so the decision to become a realtor in 2002 was an easy one. The change from working as an administrative assistant at Colby, and other businesses and institutions, to real estate provided more independence and a challenge that I was eager to meet. Buying and selling homes can be a daunting process, and I work hard to make the transactions as easy as possible for my buyers and sellers.

In 2007 I had the honor of being chosen REALTOR of the Year by the Coastal Mountain Council of REALTORS. Currently, I serve on the Board of Trustees for The Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, and as Board President of The Community School, a 36 year-old, alternative high school for at-risk youth, based in Camden. In my spare time, I’m an avid reader and manage to travel some with my author husband, Richard. Venice, Italy, and London (where our daughter and son-in-law currently live) as well as Martha’s Vineyard, are favorite travel destinations. My new challenge is watercolor painting.

Lynn Hallett Portland 207.671.8187
Real Estate Agent Lynn Hallett specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

I live with my husband Tom in the West End of Portland where our three children, son-in-law, and friends gather frequently. After living in Manhattan, San Juan, Baltimore, New Orleans, and Boston I came to Portland 30 years ago and have loved this city increasingly since then. We raised our children spending summers on Southport Island and winter weekends at Sugarloaf. We are fortunate to have wonderful friends and strong ties in all three communities. As a parent I have guided my children through Waynflete School, Carrabassett Valley Academy, St. Paul’s School, Trinity and Bates Colleges, and Maine Law. I have a great appreciation for the importance of local schools and community in a young family’s search for a home.

My earliest experiences in real estate took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico where I worked with my family’s realty agency. Throughout high school, college and beyond, I assisted with the marketing and selling of new luxury construction projects across the island. After buying and selling a multitude of properties myself, I became licensed in Maine to assist others in their real estate ventures.

I have taught Spanish at Waynflete School for 11 years and have worked in Maine’s legal community as a Spanish language interpreter and translator. These experiences have instilled in me a high regard for professionalism and attention to detail. I have been involved in many area non-profit organizations, social clubs, and school and community associations. I hold a BA in Russian Studies from Boston University and an MA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of New Hampshire. My professional affiliations have included the American Translators Association, the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators, the Portland Board of Realtors, the Maine Board of Realtors, and the Maine Listing Service.

At the heart of my professional life is my love of working with people. I establish and maintain an open and effective rapport with my clients until we are all certain that they have found the perfect property. I thoroughly enjoy my profession, imparting my enthusiasm and expertise throughout each process.

Pat Lawson Brunswick 207.798.1828

Pat’s career in real estate began within days of her arrival in Maine from California. She accepted the challenge of building a now-flourishing rentals business for a local real estate agency, then moved on to selling real estate on a full-time basis. Pat has lived in many different areas of the country-up and down the entire East Coast from Maine to Florida, over to South Texas, and out to Southern California. She brought with her experience in international procurement for the steel fabrication, automotive manufacturing and appliance manufacturing industries. This latest move to Maine was a welcome decision to join family and friends and finally put down roots on “the rockbound coast of Maine”.

As a result of a background in business start-ups and turn-arounds, Pat brings to the practice of real estate considerable expertise in problem-solving and crisis management. And, since over the years she has picked up and moved wherever she was needed, she came to the profession fully versed in the intricacies of selling her own properties, buying new ones and learning the ropes in new parts of the country. She’s an “expert” in relocating herself and, as a result, is a reliable resource on relocation for her clients.

Pat’s hobbies include residential renovations, interior design and participation in local government. She lives with her husband on Bailey Island, Town of Harpswell, in Mid-Coast Maine.

Susan Allen Mount Desert Island Specialist 207.266.4776
Real Estate Agent Susan Allen specializes in Mount Desert Island Maine Real Estate

Born a fifth generation Houstonian, I was later raised on Mount Desert Island, Maine; a coastal upbringing that has greatly shaped who I have become. Summers sailing the coast of Maine led to a collegiate interest in marine biology (I have a B.S. in Biology from the University of Connecticut), and a wonderful twist of fate led me to a career as the first mate and chef on a private sailing yacht. This experience not only introduced me to my husband, but also led me to a great number of incredible opportunities and precious memories, among them living on the Istrian peninsula of Croatia, winters spent cruising the West Indies, and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean with stops in the Canary and Cape Verde Island chains.

Business opportunities eventually lured us back to our favorite of coastlines to settle down, and we moved from ship to shore in Southwest Harbor, a community that we are honored to be a part of. We have two daughters (Lily-7, and Violet-4), a cat named Goose, a dog named Olive, and too many chickens to list by name (although I can assure you our girls could do it). Mount Desert Island gives us so many amazing opportunities for outdoor activities, and in our free time our family is often hiking, swimming, exploring new coves in our converted Navy whaleboat and exploring the solitude of the park and surrounding areas in the off seasons. I also love to garden, cook and am an avid tennis and platform tennis player.

I am the Chair of the Pemetic Elementary, and a member of the Mt. Desert Island High School and AOS 91 district school boards, a board member of the Causeway Club, a volunteer for the Westside Food Pantry, and a member of the Southwest Harbor Conservation Commission, an organization dedicated to protecting and maintaining our town’s natural landscapes.

While abroad I began a search for personal real estate that initiated my keen interest in the profession (we closed on our first house almost exactly on the halfway mark between our cross-Atlantic waypoints!), and I am thrilled to be bringing it to fruition by teaming up with my very knowledgeable and successful mother Carroll Fernald here at Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty. As a member of the Downeast Coastal Property Team, I am very excited to showcase the area I love while making meaningful connections with potential and realized clients. I look forward to working with you!

Valerie Foster Camden 207.522.7820
Real Estate Agent Valerie Foster specializes in Camden Maine Real Estate

Valerie moved with her husband and two children to Rockport in 1999 from Fairfield County, Connecticut in search of “the way life should be” and is very happy she did! Moving to Maine ended her family’s search for a great place to raise children with the bonus of a day-to-day lifestyle surrounded by beautiful vistas, charming period architecture and the warmth of small town life.

Valerie’s life-long interest in period architecture and design began with innumerable house tours as a child with her parents in New England and the British Isles. As an adult she relished the treasure hunt of shopping for houses and renovating antique and period homes. After avidly following the local real estate market for herself and friends for years, Valerie finally made it official and became a Realtor. Nothing would make her happier than listening to your “must-haves” and wish list items while enthusiastically searching for your perfect house in Maine!
When not thinking about Real Estate, Valerie enjoys traveling, cycling, swimming, hiking and enjoying all the wonderful restaurants in the Mid Coast and Portland!

Sandra Wendland Portland 207.233.7788

I live in Falmouth with my husband and children. We enjoy outdoor activities year round, whether it is going to the beach, camping, biking, or skiing and snowboarding. The greater Portland area has all this at its fingertips and is truly a wonderful place to live.

My family has relocated four times so I understand the stresses families and individuals face while considering a move into a new community, selling their home to move on, or even a move across town. Originally from Santa Barbara, Ca, I have also lived in Colorado and Massachusetts. Committed to my communities, I have been involved with school PTO, private and Montessori school boards, Junior Women’s Club, coaching travel soccer, as well as working with my local Board of Realtors on several community projects.

After practicing finance in the government and corporate sectors, I lacked the people contact I wanted so I began selling real estate. At that time, I made a pact with myself that I would provide the finest level of service to every client I was fortunate enough to serve. Many years later I am still treating each and every one of my clients as if they were my only client, it’s what I do best. Always going above and beyond, it’s about integrity, commitment, hard work, energy, experience and results. I am friendly, caring, and aggressive and just love what I’m doing. I delight in hearing my clients say “wow”!

I am a Realtor® and nationally accredited as a Buyers Representative and a Home Marketing Specialist by the National Association of Realtors. Most importantly, I am excited about getting to know you and turning the page on this new chapter in your life!

Patti Lawton Brunswick 207.522.1444
Real Estate Agent Patti Lawton specializes in Brunswick Maine Real Estate

I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and spent all of my summers on Cape Cod, so moving to a small town in Maine 27 years ago was a natural fit for me. With 23 years of real estate experience specializing in residential and waterfront properties, I have come to know and love this Southern Midcoast area of Maine.
I take pride in being a REALTOR® and have served the association at the Local, State and National levels for a number of years, most recently as the 2011 NAR Regional Vice President, 2008 MAR President and Chair of NAR’s Housing Opportunity Committee.

Your home may be the most important investment you make, whether it’s your first or last, and you deserve the best advice you can gather to make informed decisions to accomplish your home buying or selling goals. While knowledge of the market is important, I believe that honesty and integrity are equally important as characteristics necessary in a real estate broker and I look forward to putting my knowledge, experience and REALTOR® ethics to work for you.

Tom Kruzshak Portland 207-770-2212
Real Estate Agent Tom Kruzshak specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

I have always been a New Englander; growing up in Fairfield County, Connecticut; spending the summers of my youth in New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Ossipee; my first post-college job on Squam Lake as a teacher/naturalist; living now with my wife in Falmouth, Maine. I traveled a bit along the way; graduated college in Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Resource Management from Lehigh University; manager of western operations for an international hydrogeological consulting firm, a job that took me to 39 states over nine years. Even after living for a while in the beautiful Rocky Mountains my heart was still in New England; and I eventually settled on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee where I founded, owned, and operated three resort gift and apparel shops for twenty years. I served on the board of corporators for my local bank as well as on the boards of the water and sewer commissions, planning board, merchants association, and chamber of commerce.

Customer service, attention to detail, and community service were major reasons for my success in retail; the very same practices that allowed a natural transition into real estate sales and investment. I obtained both my Maine and New Hampshire real estate licenses in 2004, but now limit my practice to Maine. My wife and I along with our Welsh Corgi enjoy our vacation homes on Bear Island on Lake Winnipesaukee, Sugarloaf, and down east in a working harbor in Frenchman Bay that time forgot. When we are not tending our bees we boat on the lake, sail with friends on the bay, attempt to hold our own at 6-wicket croquet, and are parents, grandparents, and in-laws to a blended family living 16 times zones apart.

I work closely with my clients, listening always, appreciating lifestyles and time frames and then artfully structuring a plan to market a property for a seller or identify the perfect home for a buyer. Primary homes, vacation homes, oceanfront, lakefront, mountaintop; I go wherever extraordinary properties and extraordinary lives come together.

My prior experience includes work in land protection for The Nature Conservancy, sales and marketing for Diversified Communications, paralegal work for Pierce Atwood and office administration for D. Scott Martin Builders, LLC. I enjoy the outdoors of Maine with my family through various activities including boating, hiking, gardening, fishing and skiing. My experiences have helped to instill in me a knowledge of the area, real estate and the benefits of living in the State of Maine. I am a member of the Portland Board of Realtors, Maine Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce. I am also an avid volunteer at the Yarmouth Elementary School. If you already live in the area or you are investigating the area and want to discuss real estate, I would love to hear from you. I look forward to helping you buy or sell real estate in Maine.

Kim Latour Brunswick 207.687.9663

I have been a resident of Maine for over 30 years, after spending my youth in New York and Southern New England. I raised my family in Down East Maine and currently reside in the Mid Coast region.

With a long family history in boatbuilding and sailing, staying close to the water is most important to me and I feed this passion as a member and volunteer of the Maine Maritime Museum and as a supporter of Sail Maine. I have completed my second annual lecture series in March of 2013 in order to continue fund raising for the Sail Maine program. Additionally, I am an active participant in my local community, enjoying all that Bath, named Maine’s “cool little city” has to offer. The Bath Freight Shed Alliance, Fields for our Future and Maine’s First Ship are not only worthy groups to support they bring enjoyment to all who become involved with the dynamic people who form them. It is a great pleasure to have the opportunity to be a part of all three.

My love of travel and my enthusiasm for sailing have led me to form a partnership with a Sotheby’s International Realty colleague in Miami. Between us we have a strong connection to the world of yachting and this collaboration has brought us to a variety of events where we promote luxury waterfront and marine related properties from Maine to Miami. Whether it is at boat shows, mega yacht charter shows, sailing regattas or at Art Basel, we are there to present all that Sotheby’s International Realty has to offer in distinctive homes. In conjunction with this I am also a member of FIABCI, the international federation of real estate brokers which allows me to take advantage of my traveling to connect with brokers all over the world.

It was my love of Maine and of rehabilitating homes which led me into real estate. I am currently renovating yet another home and enjoy the hunt for these abandoned treasures which just need a little TLC to bring them back to life. Prior to real estate I worked in the health care field including working for Harvard in the Commonwealth Research Evaluation Unit at DMH, and at state prisons and inpatient psychiatric units. I believe the skills gained from that experience; empathy, active listening, and attention to detail are a true asset and translate well into the real estate business.

I am dedicated to bringing the highest quality of service and warmth to all client relationships so that the transition of buying and/or selling a property is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I look forward to working with you!

Lisa Molloy - Broker Portland 207.318.6251
Real Estate Agent Lisa Molloy specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

Originally from the Berkshires in western Massachusetts, I had opportunities that took me to the Napa Valley in California, where I worked for Caymus Vineyards, Cape Cod and London, England, where I worked as a nanny, before deciding to move to Maine in the late spring of 1990. I immediately felt "at home" here, and aside from a one year move to Washington state, have lived here happily ever since.

In 2000 I started a landscaping business, Terramar, and to this day still maintain a handful of clients each season doing design work, installations, garden renovations and maintenance.

I became licensed as a Real Estate agent in early 2004 and partnered with my husband Pete, already in the business, working until the arrival of our beautiful twin boy and girl in June of 2005. After an extended hiatus to be at home with our kids, I am thrilled to once again join Pete in working together with clients in both the purchase and sale of their homes and/or land.

My personal interests include time spent with family and friends, being outdoors...hiking, skiing, running, boating...and finding creative expression through my gardening and house renovations.

Whether relocating, upsizing, downsizing, looking for land or your first home, I, along with Pete, look forward to the opportunity of helping you find that perfect place!

Susan Lehr Brunswick 207.729.2820

Originally from New Jersey I began my real estate career in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire 30 years ago. Many aspects of my abilities and training led me to this profession. As one of 6 children in a close-knit family, I developed a strong work ethic early in my life. As a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School, that work ethic was enhanced by an education that valued attention to detail. This background has provided a strong foundation for working with clients and is of critical importance in a real estate transaction. In addition to holding a NH broker’s license, I worked as a title abstractor and spent several years as a branch manager of a title company.

Our move to Maine is not an uncommon story. I had spent several summers as a child at Popham Beach. After a friend moved to Harpswell, my husband and I began to visit and fell in love with the area and all that Maine had to offer. We made the move and have never had any regrets. We enjoy kayaking and exploring all the coves near our home. Recently we purchased a “DownEast” style boat and hope to explore more of Maine from the water. I am an avid football fan, past golf “fanatic” and enjoy being outdoors. We raised two great sons and now have four grandchildren and look forward to visits with them here in Maine or in Colorado and New Hampshire where they live.

Real estate continues to be a rewarding and satisfying profession. The transition to coastal Maine real estate was a natural for me because the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is also an area of full-time and vacation homes with many waterfront properties. I realize the importance of a relationship built on trust between a broker and a client and strive to achieve that type of a relationship with each and every client. Whether buying or selling, I look forward to assisting you with all your real estate needs.

Don Pendleton Camden 207.462.9000
Real Estate Agent Don Pendleton specializes in Camden Maine Real Estate

Born and raised on the island of Islesboro, some 2 ½ miles from the mainland, I grew up exposed to the complexities and isolation of island living. For those who do not know our island community, it is located in Penobscot Bay, a twenty-minute ferry ride from Lincolnville Beach in one of the premier boating areas on the Atlantic coast. Dark Harbor, on the southern end of Islesboro, is dotted with fine Shingle Style summer cottages and elsewhere there are antique Capes, saltwater farms and contemporary homes, all full of the many wonderful and diverse people that I know or have known. My family owned a large General Store there, which I bought and operated for many years and experienced meeting people of varying backgrounds and personalities.
I graduated from the University of Maine and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, prior to serving in the US Army, and became a licensed Broker in 1961. For 48 years I have sold Land (waterfront and inland), Estate Properties, Islands, and a wide variety of Residential Homes and Commercial Real Estate.
My wife Diane and I live on the island in a converted 1872 Post and Beam Barn and enjoy cruising the area in our 36’ Jarvis Newman Picnic boat with our children, grandchildren and friends. Let me help you, both Buyers and Sellers, in and about the Penobscot Bay area, to either purchase or sell a property. Experience counts!

Jacqueline Wheelwright Camden 207.449.9442

Jackie’s been a broker for 20 years, so she’s completely comfortable with the real estate process. She also knows houses. She has bought, renovated and resold houses in Massachusetts. And she worked in a family business, selling new construction. “I know what to do to sell a house!” she says. “There’s more to it than pricing it right. I look at houses and see how to highlight what’s beautiful about them.” Jackie having run an art gallery on Islesboro now resides in Rockport. “I think what I bring to my job is a comfort level,” she says, “knowledge, sincerity and stick-to-it-ive-ness. (Is that a word?). I’m happy in my work and in my life, and that gives clients a feeling of being at ease.” Her life is busy with three children, but art is still a huge part of it, and she loves to golf, cook and kayak. She has a passion for Maine Real Estate that is unparalleled.

Client Testimonials:

From the initial introduction to our closing - Skanlon was the consummate real estate professional. He took great care to understand what type of property we were interested in purchasing and did not waste our time with tours of inappropriate homes.

Skanlon was so spot on with the right house for us that we ended up buying the second one that he had us walk through.

During negotiations Skanlon skillfully and calmly helped both the buyer and seller reach a fair and reasonable deal. His overall demeanor minimized the stress inherent in any real estate transaction.

We were so pleased with Skanlon's work that we recommended him to close friends from our hometown. They ended up using him to buy a second home only a few miles from us in York.

-S. Dandley

I worked with Skanlon through the purchase of my new home. Skanlon brings a unique skillset to the table with his prior years of experience as an appraiser. Particularly in the current market these skills really came in helpful to weave through an at times very confusing market. Skanlon has a very professional and laid back demeanor which was great to work with but showed a tenacious fortitude when it came time to negotiate and to coordinate inspection, finance and all the other pieces of the puzzle. My mortgage broker is a friend of over 30 years and gave very high praise about Skanlon at the end of a very smooth and quick transaction. More than anything else, working with Skanlon, I felt like someone was looking out for me during such a big purchase. I would highly recommend him to anyone else in this area.

Summers spent as a child at my aunt’s camp on Lake Kezar drew me to Maine ten years ago. Memories of those days past, where “the way life should be” prompted me to consider these rocky coastlines and this rich culture my permanent home. This passion for lifestyle excellence you’ll find gives my clients an advantage.

With 20 years of marketing and sales experience, I’m confident we’ll find the right choice together. I served most recently as the Director of Marketing and Sales for the exclusive and highly-sought after Highland Green resort community in Topsham, Maine.

My previous experience includes organizing successful political campaigns and overseeing marketing and public relations initiatives for a diverse group of Maine businesses.

While a native of Illinois, I developed my work ethic and commitment to success as a caddy at the famed Olympia Fields Country Club outside of Chicago. After college I worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC for seven years and later in Illinois. In my spare time I enjoy being involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, playing golf, boating and hiking the many wonderful trails available in midcoast Maine and greater Portland.

Exceeding my clients’ expectations is necessary in today’s real estate business. The benefit: I’ve built long lasting-friendships with extraordinary people who count on me to help them achieve the lifestyle of their dreams.

Julie Galvin Portland 207.671.4953
Real Estate Agent Julie Galvin specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

I have had the fortunate opportunity to blend two of my passions, architecture and the ocean, by selling and appraising real estate on Maine's beautiful coast over the past 12 years.

Raised in a world of construction and a family owned real estate company, my knowledge and interest in real estate is innate. I began selling real estate in Massachusetts in 1993 and I have remained in the industry since.

In 1995 I was a tourist from Massachusetts visiting Fort Williams Park, Cape Elizabeth and I fell in love with it. I moved to Maine the following year with my husband. Raising our three sons in Maine has provided them with great opportunities.

I walk, run, paddle board, surf, live near and love the ocean.

I am a Maine licensed real estate broker, the highest level of real estate sales licensing and a Maine Certified Real Estate Appraiser. I enjoy working with people to fulfill their real estate dreams and develop lifelong clients.

"I am taking a moment to write on behalf of our realtor, Julie Galvin. Julie recently represented us in the purchase of a million dollar property in Scarborough, Maine. Her assistance was invaluable, as we were making the purchase from out of state. Julie represented us in every fashion necessary to accomplish our goals in a timely and professional manner. She acted in our behalf over and above what is normally expected. Julie always took the extra step to make sure everything progressed smoothly.

We have been searching for a home in Maine since 2006. We have contacted Julie each time a property was of interest to us. She went out of her way to make herself available to us; always extending us every courtesy and consideration. During the course of this nine year search, we never considered changing realtors. Should our needs require that we begin to look for another property in the future, Julie would be the representative we would contact."

Kelly and Ray, Scarborough, Maine

"I have to say that working with Julie buying and selling real estate over the past several years has been a true pleasure. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, extremely patient and very dedicated to her clients.

When the real estate market softened her positive attitude and willingness to try different approaches helped close many deals. I appreciate her successful efforts on my behalf, and would sincerely recommend her to anyone who requires a true professional ..."

Dave W., Investor Southern Maine

"Julie Galvin is the hardest working real estate professional I know. She is very focused on client satisfaction and follow up. She is great with negotiations and pays close attention to details."

Dennis Gleason - Broker Damariscotta 207.446.6394

I am a 40-year resident of Boothbay Harbor with my wife Martha (Marty), a native of the region and son Andrew. I was educated at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Clark University, where I received a BA in English and met Marty.
Together we established a successful editorial business, working on medical and scientific books for such publishers as McGraw-Hill and Houghton Mifflin. We started Gleason Fine Art in 1985, and built it into one of the most respected art galleries in Maine, working closely with collectors and artists and placing works public, corporate, and private collections, including the Farnsworth and Monhegan museums.
Through the gallery I met many people interested in acquiring property in Maine and got my real estate license in 2002 to assist them in that pursuit. I have joined Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty because of their excellent reputation as a Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate, and their strong and increasing involvement with marketing the Maine brand in the Midcoast.
I have served on many committees in the Boothbay Region, but am most proud of my involvement in saving the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor at a critical time and well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens during the past six years, a period during which it experienced rapid growth, now drawing over 100,000 visitors to the region each year. I am also a Certified Appraiser of American Art by the Appraisers Association of America, the only person in Maine to hold that qualification.
I truly enjoy working with people in the acquisition and disposition of assets that will or have added to their enjoyment of life, and practicing the fine art of buying and selling Coastal Maine Real Estate.

Client testimonial:

I found Charlene Hamiwka quite by accident while looking on the Internet at properties on the coast of Maine. Thank goodness I emailed her for some information on one of the listings because it was the beginning of a relationship which culminated (after six months and over 100 properties) in our finding exactly the house of our dreams. When we began we really weren't sure what the object of our search was. We had spent 25 years camping and hiking in Maine but really had very little hard information about land ownership in the coastal areas. We currently live in Massachusetts so our search began from a distance and through the Internet. We also made six trips and at last are the pleased owners of a property which is perfectly suited to us, thanks to Charlene. This is what she provided to us:

1) She took the time to provide us with a crash course in real estate hunting including suggested areas for concentration, local regulations, cultural specialties of each locale and the advantages and disadvantages of various situations.

2) I would email her with a long list of mls numbers for houses I had selected on the Internet. Charlene reviewed each and sent her comments and observations. When we couldn't check them out ourselves immediately she often was able to visit herself and send us photos.

3) On several trips we would meet for visits all arranged by Charlene in which she would spend the entire day with us driving from property to property all the while thoroughly exploring and evaluating the pros and cons.

4) Charlene actually represented us in a few preliminary negotiations prior to our final sale. She always was on the lookout for our interests and worked with us by offering her suggestions and advice. We felt that we were approaching the project as a team.

5) Because the search extended over a long period of time I was particularly grateful for the rapidity of her email replies. Even though I know that she was busy, she somehow found the time to make me feel that our search was important to her and that she was even enjoying it herself.

6) Once we were in the final negotiations she was thorough and looking out for interests in every detail.

In short, from our experience with Charlene Hamiwka I highly recommend her as a real estate agent. Her honesty, integrity, diligence and patience are qualities which are particularly prized these days and to top it off her good humor made the entire adventure of finding a new home actually fun.

Real Estate Agent Diane Shevenell specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

I've been in real estate for over 20 years. Formerly, I was in Washington, D.C. as legislative assistant to Congressman Stanley Tupper. Working for a congressman and learning to focus on constituents' needs was good training for real estate. This job is less about bricks and mortar and much more about human nature. It is very important to listen carefully to the client's concerns and to work diligently to make the buying or selling experience as smooth as possible. Over the years I've been fortunate to work with wonderful clients.

I have a B.A. History & Government, University of Maine. For fun Ray and I enjoy our annual visits to Sanibel Island in Southwest Florida, and have collected more shells than we know what to do with. We also have great fun as the world's oldest "groupies" following our daughter and son-in-law's appearances with the Don Campbell Band.

Heather Shields Portland 207.596.4050

The key to Heather is that she grew up on an island 12 miles off the coast of Maine, an island with a population of only 350 year-round residents. As a result, Heather has spent her life on the waters in Penobscot Bay and has an intimate knowledge of coastal Maine.

Maine islanders are noted for their determination, work ethic and resourcefulness; those qualities, plus enthusiasm and dedication are the driving forces behind Heather’s real estate practice – and her life.

In her first year as a real estate agent, Heather was named Rookie of the Year by her company of over eighty agents. She was named “Best of the Best” by mid-coast Maine’s newspaper and has been consistently awarded “Top Producer” in the Coastal Maine area.

Heather still gets the same pleasure and satisfaction from helping people make their dreams come true as she did when she first started. She attributes much of her success to her attention to detail and the ability to develop a good working rapport with nearly everyone.

Heather spends her free time with her husband, Lee, and their four children as well as their two English Labrador Retrievers. She is a board member of the Yarmouth Education Foundation, the Brookside Condominium Association and is the President and founder of the Greater Portland Women’s Networking Group. Previously, she was the founder of the CamRock Women’s Networking Group and served on the boards of the Camden Rockport YMCA, Mainely Girls, Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool, to name a few. Andrea Pappas Pellechia Portland 207.831.0447

A lifelong resident of Cape Elizabeth and Pine Point Beach, I consider myself lucky to still call these places my home. I spent my college years in upstate New York and graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Communications. After college I married, moved back to Maine and went on to spend 15 years freelancing graphic design for companies both large and small. Being self-employed taught me many skills that go hand-in-hand with the real estate field: honesty, organization, negotiation strategy, people skills, responsiveness, maintaining cutting-edge technology and creative thinking among many others. Shifting gears from design to real estate was seamless since the end goal is one-in-the-same: satisfied clients.

In addition to my work, time is spent supporting my 3 sons with their various endeavors. At the ages of 17, 14 and 11 all are knee-deep in Maine's apprenticeship lobstering program...passionate fishermen on their way to earning their commercial lobster licenses. When not out on the ocean they keep my husband and I busy with their athletics - lacrosse, hockey, soccer, golf and skiing.

Working with both sellers and buyers, I am diligent about maintaining the level of trust I build with my clients. My relationships with banks, inspectors, title companies, other brokers and attorneys all help to make your transaction as smooth as possible. Whether it's waterfront, city or country, the successful search for—or sale of—your home is my priority.

Real Estate Agent Maureen Adams Weaver specializes in Kennebunk Maine Real Estate

I had a somewhat idyllic childhood growing up as the seventh child in a historic home in Kennebunk, Maine. While attending Villanova University, I also studied a semester at the Universite de Bourgogne in Dijon, France, graduating with a degree in Communications. I worked every summer at my father's real estate company in Ogunquit, Maine.

After graduation, I remained on the Main Line of Philadelphia where I quickly earned my Series 7 and worked in the brokerage industry. While there, I also devoted my time to many charities and was involved with helping a variety of non-profits, my most notable was being a member in The Saturday Club, the oldest woman's philanthropic club in the country.

Eager to share my love of Maine with my three kids, we spent summers on Mothers Beach. As time went by, we wanted the kids to have the well-rounded childhood that Maine has to offer. The decision was made to move the family back and we bought a Captain's home on the same street where I grew up.

Once back in Maine, I did not hesitate to get involved. I am very active, serving on the Board of the Biddeford YMCA, Equest Cowboy Ball Committee, Brick Store Museum Membership Committee, Town
of Kennebunk Historic Preservation Committee, Education Foundation Fundraising Committee as well as
various PTAs. I also enjoy a variety of sports and belong to Quest Fitness and the Arundel Paddle Club.

My entire life has had a common thread of real estate. Growing up in the business, it has become my second nature. I am more than passionate about my love of Maine and I have great "local" knowledge. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for Maine with clients in a straight-forward, honest way for which I am known.

My interests and hobbies are one and the same – Maine Real Estate. I have renovated 18 homes and lived in them all and In 2003 I built my first new home in Woolwich. My first commercial endeavor was the renovation of the building at 141 Maine Street in Brunswick, the home of Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty. I always think it is the last project but then I see potential and off I go again. As a Maine native from the Bangor area I have an extensive background in Maine Real Estate Management and Sales. I was an Owner/Partner in a leading Mid Coast real estate company from 1988-2006. I have served on the Merry Meeting Board of REALTORS® and as a member of the State and National Boards. I have also been a board member of the Pejepscot Historical Society and the Brunswick Village Review Board. I hold a B.A in Psychology from Smith College and am a past President of the Smith College Club of Maine.

Lewis Wheelwright Camden 207.232.3951
Real Estate Agent Lewis Wheelwright specializes in Camden Maine Real Estate

I am a Maine native, born in nearby Ellsworth and raised in the heart of Camden. I attended Syracuse University where I studied Hospitality and International Relations, both programs which allowed me to spend much of my time abroad. After graduating, I returned to South America to work as an International Programs Coordinator in Ecuador, an exceptional time in my life where I was able to establish myself within a historical city high in the Andes mountains. Here I could satisfy my interests of cultural immersion, language, and exploration while developing cultural programs, leading both students and adults on educational excursions, and working with local community organizers. After this position, I moved to the coast of Ecuador to take a role as an Operations Manager in a fish processing facility where I spent two years developing and testing unique seafood products.

Despite the modern day ease of communication with family and friends back home in the states, I realized that midcoast Maine was where I wanted to live. I was eager to enjoy the natural beauty and adventure the area has to offer, longing to live again in a place with four distinct seasons! I jumped at an opportunity to return home to help start a local bike & ski shop in Rockland where I could combine my desire to promote an active lifestyle, while creating longstanding relationships with the people in the area through honest hard work, customer education, and fun. Although I still find time to work on bikes and skis I have shifted my energy and focus into real estate, excited to help make this remarkable area a home for others!

Joi Kressbach Portland 207.838.1865

My passion for real estate began in 1987 when I managed a Portland real estate agency. Since then I have bought and sold both residential and commercial properties, managed vacation properties and the construction of our own waterfront home. My experience in real estate, along with my knowledge of shore land zoning regulations, architecture and interior design, allow me to help my clients find their perfect Maine home.

I moved to Yarmouth in 1990 when I married my husband Lee. We've been fortunate to raise our two daughters in this beautiful seaside community. We own a small family business, which my husband runs, Maine Lobster Direct-shipping Maine seafood throughout the United States. I’m also an avid sailor who loves nothing more than to get out on the water and explore the beautiful Maine coast.

I pride myself on providing my clients with outstanding service and a positive experience. I am organized, detail oriented, personable and professional and truly love what I do. My personality lends itself to listening and problem solving and I find great satisfaction in connecting with my clients, assessing your needs and helping you achieve your real estate goals.

Polly Nichols Portland 207.831.6062
Real Estate Agent Polly Nichols specializes in Portland Maine Real Estate

Polly knows real estate. She’s been in the business since 2005 and has cultivated relationships with providers in the industry from inspectors to lenders to contractors. She’s renovated old homes (including the farmhouse she and her husband call home on nearly 80 acres), as well as her North Haven Island home, off the coast of Camden. She’s a graduate of a Maine College and raised 3 children here. She may be from “away” but she understands Maine’s abundance of happy surprises, from the coast to the mountains, from gardens and farmer’s markets, to sailing, hiking and skiing to fine dining and great concerts.

Polly “gets it.” Whether working with buyers or sellers she understands that your home is more than a house that fits well. It’s about family, friends and neighbors. It’s about organizations (Polly has volunteered for many including helping at-risk teens, learning challenged children and land conservation groups), education and recreation.

Polly is an astute and comfortable listener, extraordinary connector and down-to-earth broker. Her enthusiasm, expertise and commitment to her profession, enables her to effectively meet the needs of buyers and sellers and allows for a positive experience.

Miles Geisler Damariscotta 207.380.6007

A native of Lincoln County, Miles Geisler grew up on a farm on Damariscotta Lake, attended local schools and graduated from the University of Maine at Orono. After a brief stint working for the University of New York, Miles returned to Maine to start his own landscape design/build business. He has explored most every road and water body in the area and is eager to share his local knowledge with his clients.

When asked why he chose to join Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty Miles stated “it was simple really, I just asked myself what firm I would list my own home with if I wanted to sell, and the answer was Legacy Properties. I knew at that moment they were the agency I wanted to be affiliated with.

In 1991 Miles entered the real estate business and now, 22 years and over $100,000,000 in sales later he is now one of the most experienced, successful and knowledgeable brokers is the mid-coast area. Specializing in the Damariscotta Lake and Damariscotta River watersheds, Miles covers the areas of Damariscotta/Newcastle, the Bristol/South Bristol peninsulas and the Boothbay peninsula. Miles will expertly represent his clients whether it is in marketing an old family home or finding that special dream property. “I take my job very seriously,” states Miles. “I am always aware that a person’s home is often their single most valuable asset and therefor there is gravity in my responsibility to my clients whether they be buying or selling.”

When asked what Miles finds most fulfilling about his real estate practice “I love the feeling at closing when I see at the closing table a Seller that is happy they sold and a Buyer that is thrilled with what they bought.”

Miles lives in Edgecomb on the Damariscotta River with his son and beloved dogs. An avid outdoorsman, Miles enjoys boating, gardening, hunting, fishing and travel.
